If you’re involved in the world of custom ROMs, there’s little chance you haven’t heard of the Open GApps Project. As of late, Open GApps has been the go-to site for downloading Google Apps packages. It’s not hard to understand why; the site is pretty and easy to use, and the packages, which come in nine sizes and variations, are always up to date. Now, the guys behind Open GApps have taken the stuff that makes their site so great and infused it into a new Android app.
CM14 is landing
CM14 is landing
It’s been a long wait, but tonight we will kick off the first CM14.1 nightly builds (based on Android 7.1) for a handful of devices. It’s still very early on for this release and a number of features (like Themes) aren’t available yet, but development is progressing.
The devices which are part of the first push:
angler (Nexus 6P)
bullhead (Nexus 5X)
cancro (Xiaomi Mi3w/Mi4)
d855 (LG G3)
falcon/peregrine/thea/titan (Moto G variants)
h811/h815 (LG G4)
klte/kltedv/kltespr/klteusc/kltevzw (Samsung Galaxy S5)
oneplus3 (OnePlus 3)
Z00L/Z00T (Zenphone 2)
bullhead (Nexus 5X)
cancro (Xiaomi Mi3w/Mi4)
d855 (LG G3)
falcon/peregrine/thea/titan (Moto G variants)
h811/h815 (LG G4)
klte/kltedv/kltespr/klteusc/kltevzw (Samsung Galaxy S5)
oneplus3 (OnePlus 3)
Z00L/Z00T (Zenphone 2)
Bug reports are OK, but please don’t file bugs for missing features since this is all a work in progress. Now is a great time to get involved with the project too- CM is returning to it’s community-driven roots and there are endless ways to help out.
As always, more devices will be added to the list over the coming weeks and maintainers bring everything up to date, so if you don’t see your device listed here just give us a bit of time
